Spawnie's Life as a Retail Slut

Starting next week, I'm now the night manager at the parts store. They pay was a little less then what I expected, but it's still not bad.
My boss at the gas station is going to kill me. She has the schedule made up for the next 3 weeks. D'oh !
Oh well. I'll cover some day shifts, and I can still do a couple of night a week.
Maybe she won't hate me too much.

I now have 2 blogs that I post on, so now I'll have 2 blogs that will rarely ever get updated. This one I'm keeping about work, the other one covers the rest of my life. And with me working 80 hours a week, it doesn't leave much else.
The auto parts store needs a "midnight manager". We are open until midnight, the want a manager, that will work from like 3 pm to 1 am five nights a week. My name was dropped as a good candidate. yay !
The position will be filled by June 20th, so if I don't get it, they are going to give it to someone else.
I think it's fair, that I make what other managers would make. I'd be a 4th manager. 3rd managers make 550/week. I said that I want to make that also. The DM says I want too much for it, and can hire someone else to do it for less then that. My boss is fighting for me. He asked his boss why hire someone off the street that you'd have to train fully, that doesn't know the business, when you can promote one of the better employees up, that would only need 2 weeks of training, versus the guy off the street, that needs 8 weeks of training.
Then again, they wanted to promote the parts manager up to be the night manager, and he doesn't want it, because he'd have to work midnights. They offered him a $25/week raise. He is at $525/week now, that would put him at $550/week, which is what I'm asking. The top 3 managers get bonus every month, while the night manager doesn't. That's another reason why I feel I should get the same pay as the 3rd manager. He gets bonus, I don't.
Oh well. We'll see what happens. I'm supposed to have a meeting with my store manager and his boss this week to talk about this some more.
I'll let ya know what happens.
The only problem with taking this job, is that this kills the moving idea, unless I can get transferred to a store in ChicagoLand that needs a night manager.
