Spawnie's Life as a Retail Slut

Hello there. When I get bored on-line, I just read blogs of people I don't. One blog I found that got my interest, was one from a Gay couple in Toronto, who were blogging about a 16 year old boy in TN. I found a link to his blog, and went there. I was shocked at what I read.
Apparently, the owner of the blog, is a 16 year old, who came out, and told his parents, that he was gay. His family are Christians, and we know how most Christians deal with homosexuality. His parents went off the deep end. The said that they were bad parents, and didn't raise him right. That kinda stuff.
After a few weeks, they decided they were going to send him to a "camp". This camp teaches that homosexuality, is a choice, and that it goes against all of God's teachings. They "train" you to be straight, so that you don't sin. The camp is called Love in Action.
Here is the camp's web site.
I read more about it on his blog, and found their list of rules. The only alone time you get is when you are using the bathroom. Your bedroom door has to remain open at all times. You have to be escorted everywhere you go. If you are off of the camp for a while, and need to use the public bathroom, you have to be escorted there by your parent. You can't watch T.V. , read the newspaper. There is no radio, or computers with internet access. It basically is a little brainwashing camp.
Here we are living in America. A country that was founded by people looking to escape persecution, and here we go, persecuting others. We have become what we escaped. I just don't understand it anymore. I mean we always have to find someone to put beneath us. Since everyone else has gotten civil rights, now we'll go after people who are different based on their sexual orientation.
Everyone is different, that's what makes us all unique and special. We need to respect everyone. I believe that giant statue that stands up in New York says something like this on it. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free". I guess you can't be gay though. You can be poor and we'll welcome you in, but if you're born here, and gay, we hate you.
I saw a movie years ago, based on a camp like this. It was some b grade soft porn movie. It was a movie, and I didn't think that there would actually be camps like this, I guess I was wrong. I was always under the impression to not believe everything you see in movies, I guess I'm gonna have to change my thought processes.
This camp should be shut down, and the "teachers" there should all be stabbed. If I was a Christian, I'd be disgraced to call myself one after hearing about this camp.
I now dislike this country, and the Christians that run it even more.
